Regional Industrial Engineering Manager – Jabil
Job Summary: The Regional Industrial Engineering Manager will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and managing integrated production and service delivery systems that assure performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence, and cost control within the region. The Manager will adopt goals of profitability, effectiveness, adaptability, responsiveness, quality, and continuous improvement of products and services throughout their life cycles.
Responsibilities- Establish and clearly communicate all Industrial Engineering strategies for the region and individual sites.
- Insure standardization of Jabil processes throughout the region in accordance with global direction.
- Insure standardization of data within Jabil systems.
- Work with Regional Operations VP, Plant Industrial Engineering Managers, and Plant Operations Manager to drive regional process standardization, process improvements, and cost savings.
- Provide Industrial Engineering training, mentoring, and education throughout the region.
- Support the Lean organization by developing a solid process foundation and data integrity to support process improvement throughout the organization.
- Report and drive improvement within the region through monitoring key Industrial Engineering metrics.
- Develop and maintain the Industrial Engineering succession plan for the region.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Understanding and application of a broad range of industrial engineering tools (e.g., work measurement, simulation, process mapping, facilities and workstation design, operations research, etc.).
- Understanding Jabil’s global strategies and direction.
- Understanding of Jabil’s regional facilities, capabilities, and how they tie back to the Jabil strategies and direction.
- Understanding of the complete Sales to Payment process.
- Strong financial and analytical ability.
- Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and managing continuous improvements and cost reduction programs.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Visio, Project, and e‑mail.
- Degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering required.
- MS in Industrial Engineering or MBA preferred.
- Lean Silver Certificate or Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
- At least 8 years of experience in Industrial Engineering or related field, with a minimum of 2 years managerial experience.
- Or a combination of education, experience, and/or training.
