Position Overview
Jacobs is looking for an experienced Chemical Process Engineer to join our hybrid team in Latham, NY. The role involves designing, optimizing, and supporting advanced manufacturing facilities for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform conceptual and detailed design for advanced manufacturing facilities.
- Use industry best practices to solve complex engineering problems.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, project managers, and clients for fully integrated projects.
- Support field construction, review submittals, respond to client and contractor queries, and conduct field walks.
- Perform quality reviews of others’ designs.
- Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers on engineering fundamentals.
- Participate in proposal development, budgeting, and scheduling for process‑specific work.
- Apply curiosity, multitasking, collaboration, and strong communication and organizational skills to deliver high‑impact solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
- At least 8 years’ experience in chemical process engineering in manufacturing.
- Engineer in Training (EIT/FE) certification.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience designing semiconductor facilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Forward‑thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute innovative ideas.
- Diligent learner, driven to broaden knowledge base.
- Capable of working independently and collaborating in multi‑disciplinary teams across regions.
- Passion for engineering and developing solutions.
Base pay range: $102,900 – $160,000 per year.
Location:
Latham, NY (hybrid). At Jacobs, pay is determined by skills, experience, and location.
