Junior Solar Installer
Compensation: $23-$28 pr/hr.
Job Type: Full-Time
NY State Solar sells, designs, and build quality solar systems in New York! Our focus is to provide an outstanding customer experience and deliver a high quality PV system. Dedicated to helping New York become economically and environmentally sustainable.
Junior Solar Installer will have solar specific experience and complete solar panel installs.
Junior Solar InstallerDuties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble job components;
- Layout and assembly of solar modules/array and mounting hardware;
- Mechanical and structural mounting of racking, modules, and electrical equipment;
- Basic electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC)
- Ensure proper clean-up of job site
- Attend training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety;
- Responsible for following the safe work practices for the installation team; and
- All other assignments and special projects, as requested by Management.
- 1+ year of Construction Experience
- Must be comfortable with being on roofs with pitched surfaces for extended periods of time, cannot have a fear of heights
- Ability to lift 50-70 pound ladders, ability to climb ladders/stairs
- Ability to work in extreme weather (hot and sunny as well as colder temperatures)
- Clean Driver's license required
- OSHA 10 required
- Willing to work Saturdays/ overtime.
