Who we’re looking for:

We are seeking a dedicated and results‑driven Sales Specialist to drive growth and expand our footprint within New York City and New York State . Connecting schools with the right communication tools is core to our mission, and you will be a key contributor in ensuring school districts across New York discover the value of our platform. You will be responsible for identifying and nurturing new sales opportunities through strategic inbound and outbound efforts, navigating complex CRM workflows, and collaborating on account strategies that lead to high conversion and pipeline growth.

The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator with a proven track record of identifying customer needs and building early-stage relationships in a high‑growth SaaS environment. You are passionate about mastering the sales journey, refining outreach processes, and using data‑driven insights to create a world‑class experience for prospective partners.

This role will include:
  • Lead Generation & Support:
    Providing inbound lead support and proactively engaging new business opportunities through outbound calls and email outreach.
  • Strategic Prospecting:
    Identifying and targeting prospects within your defined New York territory.
  • Sales

    Collaboration:

    Partnering with aligned representatives to provide pre‑ and post‑demo support, including qualifying opportunities and sandbox administration.
  • Market Presence:
    Attending key conferences and conventions to drive sales and enhance Parent Square’s presence.
  • Data Management:
    Gathering information from leads to generate highly qualified opportunities and updating Hubspot with key client information.
  • Messaging:
    Developing a strong understanding of our value proposition and cross‑selling product offerings to current customers.
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
  • Proven Sales

    Experience:

    1–3 years of experience in a sales quota‑carrying role specifically within a high‑growth SaaS environment; ideally within New York City and/or NY state
  • Outbound Mastery: A documented track record of managing a high volume of outbound activity, including calls and emails, to build a robust sales pipeline.
  • CRM Expertise: Technical proficiency in Hubspot or similar CRMs, including experience managing automated sequences and maintaining meticulous lead data.
  • Conversion Success: Experience moving leads through the funnel, specifically driving Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) to Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs).
  • Communication & Persona Targeting: The ability to clearly articulate complex value propositions to key educational personas and stakeholders.
