The Department of Design & Construction, Division of Infrastructure, is currently seeking an Office Engineer to join our Construction Management 5 — Brooklyn — Section 1.
The successful candidate will report to a Deputy Director and perform various functions necessary to assist in the administration of active or substantially completed contracts. This includes preparing memorandums, letters, as-built assessments, and other project records; preparing overruns, change orders, time extensions, project reports, meeting minutes, and payments; tracking all required submittals and approvals, and completing all required project closeout tasks and documents including archiving records.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for adding, archiving, maintaining, and organizing all Boro digital J-Drive files and folders, including all EICs’, and field offices’ generated project files.
The Office Engineer will also assist the Assistant Commissioner, Borough Director, and Deputy Directors in creating and/or updating any required digital or paper documents requiring collection of data, or compiling of records for various purposes, and also to assist by entering and updating projects in the DOT permit tracking system; maintaining borough staffing and equipment assignment and other reports; such as the Weekly Night and Weekend Work list, and the Monthly CB Modernization Sheet, MWBE Utilization Data, MMR Quantity Report, EIC Project Assignment Charts, and Project Site Lists, etc.
Must also prepare the Semi-Annual PowerPoint presentations, maintain water main shutdown logs and perform record searches and prepare responses to FOILs, claims, and lawsuits as requested by our Law unit, the Comptroller’s or the Department’s General Counsel’s office.

-Testing and OSHA 10-hour Certified or take the first available DDC-offered training session.

ASSOCIATE PROJECT MANAGER – 22427
QualificationsOne year of full-time satisfactory experience in supervising employees performing project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting, on engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects, or supervising a construction project with a value of $1,000,000 or more, and either:
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural technology, construction, construction management, construction technology, sustainable design, urban planning, urban studies, city planning, transportation planning, business administration, or public administration, and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in project management work, such as planning, administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting, for engineering and/or architectural and/or landscape architectural projects;
or
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and five years of experience as described in “1” above; or
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent plus any combination of…
