8PM - 5AM overnight position

Chinese Bilingual Required.

What we need from you:

- Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in health and safety with 2-4 years of related experience.
- Demonstrate knowledge of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) as it applies to specific plant operations (OSHA certification preferred)
- Environmental Health knowledge
- Demonstrates broad and comprehensive knowledge of state and federal safety guidelines for the workplace, and a good understanding of legal repercussions of workplace accidents.
- Exhibits professional/expert knowledge of appropriate emergency protocols.
- Demonstrates familiarity with job site machinery and products.
- Understanding of State and federal OSHA standards and regulations
- Confirm a satisfactory current job performance and safety record.
- Safety experience in a production environment preferred.
- Ability to work in cold and/or hot temperatures for long periods of time
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, and reasoning skills to provide a positive work environment.
- Communicates clearly and effectively in English (verbally and through writing) to accurately create and document company reports
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Bilingual language skills in English and Chinese
- Must have strong work ethics.
- Demonstrate intermediate level proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Candidates receiving offers of employment will be required to complete a post-offer, pre-placement background check and drug screen.
Responsibilities:
Workplace Safety
- Ensures the implementation and enforcement of the Company’s most up-to-date required written safety and health policies, programs, and procedures.
- Adopts and/or develop methods for assessing safety conditions in the warehouse, Production Areas, and offices.
- Conducts routine safety inspections, audits, and observations. Ensure that all activities are compliant with safety guidelines and policies. Identify workplace hazards and maintains all corrective action records and reports
- Trains employees in safety procedures and runs emergency drills to gauge employee readiness.
Reporting/Investigation Safety Issues
- Prepares detailed reports documenting each inspection process.
- Develop Job Hazard analysis
- Suggets revisions to production procedure and/or employee activity that does not meet health and safety OSHA standards.
- Maintains required safety and health document/files, safety-related training records, administers post-training tests or reviews training feedback from employees.
- Conducts post-accident/injury investigation to determine the cause of the accident and works with supervisors and employees to develop plans to prevent similar accidents.
- Monitors the reporting and investigating “near-miss” situations.
- Addresses any workplace-related issues and accidents proactively, and conducts investigations into employee inquiries, suggestions, and complaints.
