the Position
- full-time teaching of language classes, plus Lab Day assignments
- high school Mandarin I–V levels. Level V alternates “Cinema and Culture” and “Society, Politics and Culture”
- emphasis on spoken fluency, writing, reading and listening comprehension, cultural studies at each level
- additional supervisory responsibilities (e.g., lunch duties, possible advisory)
- Fluency or near-native fluency required
- Familiarity with our textbook “Integrated Chinese” (print and companion website) appreciated
- Familiarity with ACTFL and/or HSK levels appreciated
- Experience with teaching Chinese cinema, literature, politics, social dynamics and/or diversity of the Chinese population appreciated
Position starts August 2026
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree or doctorate preferred.
CompensationThis is a full-time faculty position with an expected base salary of $68,000–$155,040 commensurate with education and experience on the faculty salary scale. Grace Church School does not offer a sponsorship program for non-citizens.
