Overview

The Guggenheim New York is committed to supporting the aspirations of early‑career arts professionals. In support of our Diversity, Equity, Access, and Inclusion plan, the paid Internship Program creates paths that lead to a more inclusive and diverse institution and arts field. The program provides practical training experience to undergraduate and graduate students interested in pursuing careers in the arts and museum fields.

Interns are assigned to one department for the duration of the program based on their academic background and interests and will gain a broad understanding of how a particular department functions within the context of a major museum as well as specific knowledge and skills related to departmental responsibilities. Under the supervision of designated staff members, interns work independently on projects, attend group meetings, and participate in ongoing conversations and processes within their department.
