Carousel of Languages is seeking enthusiastic and highly organized Spanish and French language teachers to join our team for the 2026–2027 academic year. Instruction follows the Carousel Teaching System® (CTS) — our structured, research-informed curriculum designed specifically for young language learners.

Teachers in this role will deliver engaging language instruction to Kindergarten through Grade 3 students within a rigorous independent school environment on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. We are looking for educators who enjoy working with energetic elementary students and who can lead well-paced, interactive lessons that keep all students actively engaged.

• Teach multiple language classes daily to Kindergarten through Grade 3 students (8:30AM-1:00PM)
• Deliver well-structured lessons using the Carousel Teaching System® curriculum and materials
• Maintain strong classroom rhythm and student engagement through interactive activities
• Differentiate instruction to support students with varying levels of language exposure
• Foster a positive classroom culture where all students participate confidently
• Use formative assessment to monitor student progress and provide targeted feedback to support learning.
• Participate in lesson planning, curriculum meetings, and occasional school events
• Represent Carousel of Languages professionally within the school community

• Bachelor’s degree required (Education, Languages, or related field preferred)
• Native proficiency in Spanish or French
• Experience teaching elementary-aged students
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain clear structure and pacing during lessons
• Professional, reliable, and collaborative
