Let’s Talk About It Inc. is seeking a dynamic and engaging Mental Health Workshop Facilitator to deliver trauma-informed mental health education and social-emotional learning (SEL) workshops to diverse audiences including students, parents, educators, and community professionals.
The facilitator will lead interactive workshops that promote mental wellness, emotional regulation, resilience, and trauma-informed practices
. This role requires strong public speaking skills, the ability to create safe spaces for discussion, and knowledge of mental health best practices.
This is a 1099 Contract Per Diem Position. The Workshop Facilitator will design, plan, and conduct interactive and engaging workshops tailored to the needs of diverse audiences. Responsibilities include preparing workshop materials, facilitating discussions, fostering participant engagement, and implementing creative methods to promote learning and idea sharing. The facilitator will also coordinate with team members to ensure alignment with program objectives and goals.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate engaging mental health and wellness workshops for schools, nonprofits, and community organizations
- Deliver presentations on topics such as:
- Trauma-Informed Care
- Stress Management and Self-Care
- Conflict Resolution and De-escalation
- Emotional Regulation
- Racial Trauma and Cultural Humility
- Mindfulness and Resilience
- Parent Engagement and Family Wellness
- Adapt workshop materials for different audiences including youth, parents, educators, and professionals
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and dialogue
- Implement pre- and post-workshop assessments to measure participant learning outcomes
- Collaborate with the Let’s Talk About It Inc. team on program development and improvement
- Maintain professionalism when representing the organization at external events
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Public Health, or related field preferred
- LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or equivalent license preferred
- Minimum 2–3 years experience in mental health, education, or community-based programming
- Experience facilitating workshops, trainings, or group sessions
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and social-emotional learning (CASEL framework)
- Strong communication and public speaking skills
- Ability to engage diverse audiences and manage group dynamics
- Experience working in schools, shelters, or community organizations
- Knowledge of culturally responsive and trauma-informed practices
- Experience with youth development and parent engagement programming
- Ability to facilitate both in-person and virtual workshops
