Talent Vision is recruiting on behalf of a mission-driven, non-profit K–5 public charter school in the Bronx for the School Year
. The school’s mission is to eliminate the learning achievement gap for urban children, including students with disabilities and English language learners, through an engaging, rigorous curriculum that supports students to perform at or above grade level in literacy and math.
The Master Elementary Teacher is a high-performing classroom educator who consistently delivers exceptional academic results and models best-in-class instruction. This role is designed for top-tier teachers who excel at rigorous lesson execution, data-driven planning, strong classroom culture, and continuous improvement. In addition to leading their own classroom, the Master Teacher serves as an informal model for peers through collaboration, shared practice, and contribution to grade-level outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver exemplary, standards-aligned instruction that accelerates student growth and drives strong achievement outcomes.
- Execute high-quality lessons daily, using checks for understanding and real-time adjustments to meet diverse learner needs.
- Use assessment data to plan reteach cycles, flexible groups, targeted supports, and enrichment.
- Establish and maintain a structured, joyful, and high-expectations classroom culture aligned to school values and the code of conduct.
- Maintain strong family communication routines and partner with caregivers to support student progress and behavior.
- Collaborate closely with grade-level teammates and school leaders to strengthen curriculum implementation and student results.
- Participate fully in professional development, including a three-week staff orientation in August and ongoing coaching and training throughout the year.
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives, events, and a team-centered culture of excellence.
Strong applicants will demonstrate:
- New York State Teaching Certification (required).
- Minimum 3 years of elementary teaching experience (required).
- Evidence of strong student outcomes, particularly in literacy and/or math growth.
- Demonstrated mastery of lesson planning, differentiation, and classroom management aligned to high expectations.
- A growth mindset and willingness to implement feedback to continuously improve instructional effectiveness.
- Strong communication skills, professional judgment, and commitment to collaboration.
- A deep commitment to educational equity and ensuring all students achieve at high levels.
