Position Overview

NY Enrichment Group is seeking a patient, engaging, and bilingual ESL Instructor to teach English language skills to Spanish‑speaking learners. The instructor will help students build confidence in speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension while using Spanish as instructional support when appropriate. The ideal candidate is culturally sensitive, organized, and experienced in working with English Language Learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver ESL instruction focused on English language acquisition and practical communication skills.
  • Support Spanish‑speaking students by explaining instructions and concepts when necessary.
  • Design and implement lesson plans tailored to varying proficiency levels.
  • Teach vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and conversational English.
  • Monitor and assess student progress; provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a welcoming, respectful learning environment.
  • Prepare materials and classroom setup before each session; ensure cleanup afterward.
  • Communicate with NYEG’s Director of Operations regarding schedules, materials, and progress updates.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Experience teaching ESL, ELL, or language‑based instruction.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, professional, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to work with diverse learners.
