SUNY Niagara has an immediate need for a part time instructor to teach in clinical area of Psychiatric within the Associate Degree Nursing Program.
This position is for 15 weeks consisting of two (6.5 hour) clinical days per week. Times, days and location can vary, based on candidates availability.
The pay for the 15 week appointment will be $10,320.
Appointment will be effective on January 21, 2026. Appointment will end the last week of April/first week in May.
Paid orientation to teaching, responsibilities will be provided. Individuals with current clinical proficiency and/or teaching experience are particularly encouraged to apply. Selected candidates may apply when applicable for a possible scholarship to earn a Master's of Science in Nursing Education.
Typical Work Activities Essential Functions
Ability to work with, and teach a diverse student population. Ability to speak in front of groups of people. Must be able to effectively communicate with students, co-workers, supervisors and the campus community. Must be able to develop, prepare and present information. Must able to operate computers. Must be able to physically perform the duties of the position.
Required Qualifications
* An Associate's or Bachelor's of Science degree with a major in Nursing
* Masters of Science degree in Nursing. If candidate does not currently have a MSN must be either currently enrolled in a MSN program or intend on in enrolling within the academic year.
* Current Registered Nurse License
* Recent (within 5 years) acute care experience.
Desirable Qualifications
Master's of Science degree with a major in Nursing.
