Job Description:

SUNY Cobleskill is seeking qualified, capable, and enthusiastic adjunct instructors to teach plant science courses. Courses may include, but are not limited to:

* AGSC 111X - Introduction to Soil Science Lab

* AGRN 135 - Cannabis Management

* AGRN 255 - Cannabis Harvest & Analysis

* AGRN 351X - Cannabis Cultivation Lab

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Plant Science, Horticulture or Soil Science

* Experience with soil science or cannabis production

* Ability to lift 50 pounds and walk measurable distances

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous, successful college teaching experience

* Laboratory teaching experience

* Master's degree or higher in Plant Science, Soil Science, Cannabis/Hemp Production or similar

Additional Information:

* We currently have openings for the January 2025 (spring) semester and onward.

* These courses will meet in-person and will utilize our on campus farm, which is just steps away from our classroom spaces

* Courses run on a 15-week academic calendar

* This position is part-time and temporary
