The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Assistant Dean for Research and Faculty Affairs, the Program Director for Faculty Affairs plays a central role in SIPA’s Faculty Affairs within the Office of Academic Affairs. The position is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing activities that support the School’s full‑time faculty, high‑profile visiting faculty, and the Dean’s initiatives. This includes faculty recruitment and review processes, faculty communications, event coordination, and administration of program budgets and grant‑funded initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Working closely with the Senior Assistant Dean, manages logistics of all full‑time faculty searches, including providing materials to search committees, coordinating logistics for candidates’ visits, and coordinating the schedule of faculty meetings;

  • Working with the Dean’s Senior Executive Assistant, schedules meetings for the Vice Dean and Associate Dean;
  • Working closely with the IAB Building Manager, manages full‑time faculty office assignments, oversees all logistics for moves and manages update of building floor directories;
  • Facilitates faculty involvement and OAA role in Admitted Students Day and SIPA Graduation, including faculty outreach to admitted students;
  • Manages faculty participation in admissions process, including application reads and outreach to admitted students;
  • Schedules and assists with orientations for new full‑time faculty;
  • Serves as primary contact point for high profile visiting faculty, in order to provide or coordinate the following services:
    Course Works and course support, creating and posting syllabi and other material, managing student inquiries (such as those seeking permission to enroll) and modifying enrollment caps in collaboration with the Senior Assistant Dean for Curriculum and Instruction, working with the Office of Student Affairs to identify appropriate Teaching Assistants, logistical support, such as housing, office space, and IT, work with the Office of Communications to support workshops, seminars or other activities, including room scheduling, event promotion, manage travel itineraries and reimbursements;
  • Maintains and further develop OAA website, with special focus on providing guidance to faculty regarding policies and procedures;
  • Oversees the creation, maintenance, and programming of full‑time faculty biographies on the SIPA website, and faculty email distribution lists;
  • Manages the Interfolio posting for searches for full‑time officers of instruction. Works closely with the Business Manager to coordinate external advertising where relevant;
  • Manages event administration and related communication for OAA faculty‑related events, including SIPA faculty lunches, dinners and the SIPA seminar, arranging catering, space and AV, overseeing invitation lists, and conducting preparatory research as needed.

Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years of related experience required.
  • Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communications and strong organizational and problem‑solving skills suited to a work environment that requires teamwork and collegiality.
  • Strong computer skills, including database and/or spreadsheet skills.
  • Ability to work with sensitive/confidential materials and a high‑profile client base using tact and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in higher education setting desirable.
  • Knowledge about areas related to the mission of the Office of Academic Affairs.
  • Prior experience with event and program coordination highly preferred.
