Project Explore Activities Assistant – Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience working with people who have disabilities
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude with strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to provide direction, guidance, and support to staff and volunteers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Flexible, dependable, and comfortable supporting large group activities
Project Explore Activities Assistant – Responsibilities
  • Maintain effective, ongoing communication with the Project Explore Coordinator to share updates, needs, and support considerations for classes and activities.
  • Prepare, organize, and obtain supplies for classes and activities as needed.
  • Lead or co‑facilitate large group activities and events as scheduled (e.g., dances, banquets, bingo).
  • Provide on‑site direction, guidance, and support to volunteers and event support.
  • Engage positively with participants, caregivers, and volunteers.
  • Complete event wrap‑up, including summary notes, feedback, and supply organization.
  • Help maintain Project Explore storage areas to ensure supplies are organized and inventory is accurate.
  • Represent Project Explore with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a positive presence in the community.

Reporting

Compensation

Project Explore Activities Support: $11.41 - $17.00 / hr. (Depending on qualifications)
