Full-Time | Monday-Friday

About the Role

The Learning Experience - Tuckahoe is hiring a compassionate and dependable Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to support our daycare and preschool classrooms. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on with young children and wants to grow within a supportive early education environment.

Our school emphasizes play-based learning, positive relationships, and teamwork to help children feel confident, curious, and cared for every day.

What You'll Do

* Assist Lead Teachers with daily classroom activities and transitions

* Support children through play, learning centers, and structured routines

* Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment

* Participate in snack/mealtime, diapering or toileting, and rest periods as needed

* Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers

* Follow center procedures and New York childcare licensing requirements

What We're Looking For

* High school diploma or GED required

* Experience with children in a daycare, preschool, camp, or similar setting preferred

* Interest in early childhood education (ECE coursework a plus)

* CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain

* Reliable, patient, and team-oriented
