We are looking for a self‑motivated independent teaching artist to lead a beginner Irish Dance after school class on the Upper East Side (3:30-4:30pm), starting in April
. This is a freelance teaching position suitable for performers, artists, and educators looking for part‑time, afternoon work.

• Plan and deliver fun Irish Dance lessons tailored to a diverse age group, supplying materials for class sessions.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a respectful and focused learning environment.
• Incorporate educational tools such as demonstrations to enhance understanding.
• Maintain safety protocols at all times.
• Support children’s emotional and social development through positive reinforcement and encouragement.

• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain order while encouraging curiosity.
• Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings such as daycare, camp, or tutoring programs.
• Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to engage students, parents, and team members positively.
