Melville Montessori Preschool is a new Montessori School located in Forest Hills, Queens. We provide quality Montessori education to children aged 2-5 years old, fostering a nurturing and supportive learning environment. Our school is committed to the Montessori philosophy, prioritizing individualized learning and development.
Role DescriptionThis is a full-time position for an assistant 2s Montessori Teacher. The teacher will be responsible for assisting in implementing lesson plans created by the lead teacher, behavior management, and fostering a positive learning environment. Day-to-day tasks include diapering, observing and guiding students, assisting the teacher in preparing Montessori materials, and assessing student progress. This is an on-site role located in Queens, NY.
Qualifications- Experience working with groups of young children
- Strong Communication and Teaching skills
- Expertise in Training and child development
- Certification/experience in Montessori education is preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, flexible with classroom movement
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with young children - including diapering
