Associate Teachers, Grades K-2

Trinity School, a co‑educational K‑12 institution located on the Upper West of Manhattan, seeks Associate Teachers to support classrooms in Grades K‑2 beginning September 1, 2026.

The Lower School Associate Teacher program offers educators early in their careers the opportunity to work alongside and learn from an experienced Head Teacher. Designed for college graduates interested in pursuing a teaching career, the majority of appointments last three years in the same classroom.

Qualified candidates are passionate about working with children and put students’ needs first. We seek educators who are collaborative in nature, eager to learn, and have a joyful sense of humor. All community members are expected to demonstrate a commitment to an equitable classroom culture inclusive of varied student experiences and an awareness of how race, gender, and other aspects of identity manifest in the early childhood classroom.

While many Associate candidates have one or two years of student teaching experience in independent/charter/public schools and have obtained or are working toward a Master’s degree, we also welcome qualified mid‑career changers with limited classroom experience.

The salary range for this position is $62,000 – $72,000 and is based upon several factors that include, but are not limited to, the candidate’s work experience, education, and training.
