Our two-story, 15,000 sq. ft. school located at 307 East 63rd Street will be home to clean, bright, and spacious classrooms, two well-equipped multi-purpose rooms, and much more, all built from the ground up to foster children s natural curiosity through play-based activities, encouraging teamwork, problem-solving, and a lifelong love of learning.

Lead Teacher
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum and Instruction:
Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities using our proprietary Wonder of Learning® curriculum to engage and support each child’s growth - Classroom Management:
Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment - Family Communication:
Maintain open, effective and positive communication with families and guardians about their child’s progress and daily activities - Health and Safety:
Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to uphold health and safety standards, licensing regulations and ensure their well-being - Professional Development:
Participate actively in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching skills - Assessment and Documentation:
Observe, assess and document children’s learning and development to inform activities and share insights with families - Team
Collaboration:
Support Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment. - Behavior Guidance:
Model and implement positive guidance strategies to support social-emotional growth and conflict resolution.
Qualifications: A lead teacher in the 2-year-old program MUST hold one of the following qualifications:
- Baccalaureate degree and State certification. A baccalaureate degree in early childhood education or a related field of study approved by the Department and valid certification issued by the State Education Department, pursuant to 8 NYCRR §80 or successor rule; OR
- Baccalaureate degree and experience. A baccalaureate degree in early childhood education or a related field of study approved by the Department and two years of supervised and documented relevant experience in a pre-school program if currently employed in a permitted child care program; OR
- Study plan. The person has proposed a plan for meeting the requirements of paragraph (1) or (2) of this subdivision within seven years, AND has obtained approval of this plan by an accredited college.
