- Strategic leadership of all activities and outcomes for the Colgate Field Hockey program.
- Ensure sustained performance and execution across: athletic instruction, student‑athlete development, student‑athlete welfare, scouting, competition preparation, team management, scheduling, roster management, competitive outcomes.
- Recruitment and student‑athlete management – attracting and evaluating prospective student‑athletes, strategic allocation of scholarship/admission resources, ensuring academic progress and well‑being, adherence to institutional and regulatory policies.
- Create a culture of compliance with NCAA, conference, athletic department, and university policies.
- Budget development and management; support athletics fundraising efforts.
- Supervision of staff: hire, assign work, evaluate performance, provide development opportunities and disciplinary measures.
- Maintain positive relationships with alumni, community, fans, parents, faculty, and university stakeholders.
- Role model positive behaviors and leadership for student‑athletes.
- Serve as Campus Security Authority (CSA) per Clery Act requirements.
- Five (5) years of collegiate or equivalent high‑level field hockey coaching experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of field hockey, proven success coaching at collegiate or high level, ability to recruit, develop, and motivate Division I student‑athletes, strong commitment to their academic success, knowledge of University, Conference, and NCAA regulations, good communication skills, strong leadership.
- Previous NCAA Division I field hockey playing or coaching experience.
- Previous collegiate head coaching experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
