Location: Primrose of Manhattan at 350 East 82nd Street

Position: Lead Preschool Teacher (ages 2–5)

As a Lead Preschool Teacher, you will create a fun, safe environment with a daily schedule designed to develop children’s confidence and independence. You’ll guide children through small group instruction, helping them absorb new content and understand increasingly complex information.

Required Qualifications and

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (MS preferred)
  • Valid NYS B-2 Teaching Certificate or study plan eligible
  • At least 2 years of classroom teaching experience
  • CPR / First Aid certification
  • Knowledge of social, emotional, and creative needs of young children
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for safety and emergency situations
  • At least 21 years of age

Responsibilities:

  • Build genuine relationships with children daily
  • Teach language, literacy, science, life skills, and more
  • Implement lesson plans from the Balanced Learning curriculum
  • Maintain a well-kept classroom promoting exploration and confidence
  • Discover individual learning strategies for each child
  • Utilize fully stocked classrooms and supportive leadership to foster a safe, healthy environment
  • Contribute to building a brighter future for children

Compensation: Hourly rate ranges from $26 to $36/hour, dependent on experience and education.
