Why This Role Matters: In this role, you'll be building the future workforce that will transform how building energy systems perform. As an HVAC Systems Consultant & Educator within our Building Operations, Decarbonization & Efficiency (BODE) team in NYC, you’ll wear two hats:
Technical training instructor and consultant.

The proposed annual salary range for this position is $100,000 - $155,000 based on a 40-hour work schedule. The final salary may vary depending on confirmed job-related skills and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver in-person, virtual, and field-based training sessions to internal staff, external clients, and industry professionals, ensuring high engagement and knowledge retention.
  • Mentor and support staff in developing and delivering training content, promoting knowledge sharing and instructional consistency across the team.
  • Create and apply assessment tools to measure learning outcomes and training impact; gather and analyze feedback from participants and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with clients, partners, and industry networks to strengthen collaboration, expand reach, and maintain relevance in a dynamic market.
  • This is a cross-functional role with optional responsibilities based on candidate strengths and interests and the team’s needs.

What You Bring:

8+ years of relevant experience working in the field with 5+ in HVAC systems in large multi-family or commercial buildings.

Prior teaching or training experience designing and delivering training for adult professionals, with an ability to translate complex technical information into clear and understandable content.

Who You Are:

Excellent communicator and engaging presenter able to explain complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Success leading and delivering multiple medium-sized projects including stakeholder and team coordination to ensure successful outcomes.
