Overview
Delaware Opportunities Inc. is seeking a full-time Head Start Project Assistant to support the administrative and daily operations of the Head Start program. This position works closely with the Head Start Director and management team to ensure program compliance, effective communication, and smooth coordination of Head Start activities. The ideal candidate must be hard-working, reliable, and trustworthy with good interpersonal and organizational skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities- Assisting with monthly board reports
- Acting as a liaison with Head Start staff
- Assisting with timesheets and expense logs
- Assisting in the preparation of audits and reviews as well as reporting
- Serving as point person for Head Start use of CAPTAIN
- Developing articles for newsletters, social media and press releases
- Providing support and assistance to Head Start managers as directed by the Head Start Director
- Advocating for and promoting a positive image for the Head Start program and Delaware Opportunities
- Assisting during in-service trainings and coordinating volunteers
- Assisting in day-to-day activities necessary for the administration of the program
- Two years' experience in human services, early childhood education and/or related programming
