General Description:
SUNY Niagara is seeking candidates to teach clinical in a Surgical Services department as part of the Surgical Technology Associate Degree Program.
Compensation is $960 per lecture hour and $860 per lab hour for teaching at least 3 credits in a semester.
The clinical assignments will be held twice per week either with a 6‑hour lab or a 12‑hour lab. This exempt position pays $5,160 for a 6‑hour lab or $10,320 for a 12‑hour lab.
Paid orientation to teaching and responsibilities will be provided.
Individuals with current clinical proficiency and/or teaching experience are particularly encouraged to apply.

Typical Work
Activities:
- Provides instruction, supervision and evaluation in accordance with program policies and procedures for successful achievement of student learning outcomes
- Maintain a record of student clinical time
- Determine and maintain competency evaluations
- Participates in program assessment

- Ability to speak in front of groups of people.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with students, co‑workers, supervisors and the campus community.
- Must be able to develop, prepare and present information.
- Must be able to operate computers.
- Must be able to physically perform the duties of the position.
Required Qualifications:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
- Recent (within 5 years) surgery experience.
Desirable
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s of Science degree with a major in a health‑related field.
