General DescriptionSUNY Niagara has a need for part‑time Medical Assisting Instructors to teach classroom and lab settings in the Nursing and Allied Health department. Classes are held on the main campus in Sanborn, NY and/or online.
Remuneration: for persons teaching at least 3 credits in a semester, $960 per lecture hour and $860 per lab hour.

Typical Work ActivitiesEssential functions of this role include:
- Work with and teach a diverse student population
- Speak in front of groups of people
- Effectively communicate with students, co‑workers, supervisors and the campus community
- Develop, prepare and present information
- Operate computers
- Physically perform the duties of the position
- Bachelor’s Degree AND Current Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA or AMT), certification in related Allied Health Field, or licensed RN
- Minimum 5 years work experience as MA or RN
- Master’s Degree
- Formal instruction in educational theory and techniques
- Teaching experience
