SUNY Niagara has a need for a part‑time Instructor in Drama Production. Classes are held on the main campus in Sanborn, NY.
Remuneration for persons teaching at least 3 credits in a semester: $960 per lecture hour / $860 per lab hour.
In order to build and maintain an active pool of qualified candidates to meet our present and future needs for this position, SUNY Niagara will accept applications on a continuous basis. Openings may or may not exist at this time. Applications are evaluated on an as‑needed basis, and candidates will be contacted when the department has an opening. TypicalWork Activities
Responsibilities include instructing student actors and coordinating with the musical director, choreographer, and technical director for the production. Typical attendance and College grading policies have to be adhered to. Expected contact time will occur in afternoons, evenings and occasional weekends.
Essential Functions- Ability to work with, and teach a diverse student population.
- Ability to speak in front of groups of people.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with students, co‑workers, supervisors and the campus community.
- Must be able to develop, prepare and present information.
- Must be able to operate computers.
- Must be able to physically perform the duties of the position.
Master’s Degree in any field;
Previous working experience as a Theatre Director.
Previous College‑level teaching experience is desired.
