SUNY Niagara has a need for a part time instructor to teach German courses within the Humanities & Social Services division. This position will be responsible for teaching students throughout the academic year and will also be responsible for attending meetings as requested.
These classes are typically three lecture hours per week during days and/or evenings. They can be face-to-face, face-to-face enhanced with a Zoom option, asynchronous online, blended synchronous on Zoom, hyflex (face-to-face, synchronous Zoom, and asynchronous online), and hybrid (in-person and online). Regardless of the modality, the selected candidate would need to be available to report in person on campus when needed.
Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2pm – 3:15pm on either the main campus in Sanborn, NY, or the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute in Niagara Falls, NY. Applicants must be able to attend in-person meetings, professional development, and other obligations on the Sanborn campus even if teaching online or at NFCI.
Remuneration for persons teaching at least 3 credits in a semester: $960 per lecture hour / $860 per lab hour.

Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in German or a Master’s Degree in TESOL / Education
Desirable Qualifications- PhD, ED, or ABD in Education;
- 2 years of previous teaching experience;
- Experience teaching college courses, particularly in a community college.
