Role DescriptionThe Director of STEM will oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive STEM curriculum to enhance students' learning experiences and outcomes. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Center Moriches, NY. The role involves training and supporting educators, aligning STEM programs with educational standards, integrating technology and innovative teaching practices, and fostering partnerships with stakeholders. The Director will also monitor program effectiveness and ensure continuous improvement in STEM education within the district.
Qualifications- Expertise in STEM curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and educational technology
- Strong leadership, program management, and team collaboration skills
- Experience in professional development, mentoring educators, and fostering academic excellence
- Organizational, problem-solving, and data analysis skills to evaluate and improve STEM programs
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills for engaging with staff, students, parents, and community stakeholders
- Master's degree in Education, STEM fields, or a related discipline required
- State certification as a School District Leader or equivalent is preferred
- Proven track record of success in STEM-related academic leadership roles
