Community Library Manager
The Community Library Manager is responsible for managing the operations of a community library.
Duties and Responsibilities- Leads and supervises all staff, providing timely feedback, fostering learning and development, and modeling exceptional public service.
- Responsible for programming, outreach, physical maintenance, collection development, and community liaison.
- Keeps records and statistics; prepares reports.
- Demonstrates competencies: initiative, flexibility, cooperation, teamwork, exemplary customer service.
- Performs other duties as required.
Schedule includes Saturdays and evenings.
Minimum Qualifications- ALA accredited Master’s degree and New York State Public Librarian’s Certificate.
- At least one year of managerial experience, including full‑time performance management & supervision of librarian staff.
- Demonstrated knowledge of library policies and procedures.
