Dean of Students

Reporting to the Vice Provost and Dean of the Undergraduate College, the Dean of Students serves as a leader within the institution, responsible for fostering a supportive and engaging campus environment that promotes student success and well‑being for all students s role provides strategic leadership for student affairs programs, services, and initiatives, ensuring alignment with the institution’s mission and values.

• Responsible for the Division of Student Affairs which includes an Assistant Dean of Students, Student Activities, Housing & Residence Life, Counseling Services, BRIDGE Program, Department of Justice Grant, Campus Mission & Ministry
• Responsible for the student development experience for all students
• Responsible for New Student Orientation and Commencement for all populations; liaison with campus partners on ceremonial events (i.e. Nursing Pinning)
• Oversee the student conduct process, uphold community standards, and ensure compliance with institutional policies and legal requirements
• Leads response efforts for student crises, including behavioral, health, and safety concerns, in collaboration with campus partners
• Work closely with academic departments, faculty, and administrative units to support student success and retention
• Serves as Title IX Deputy Coordinator; responsible for training of staff
• Manage budgets for student affairs programs and services, ensuring effective allocation of resources
• Responsible for assessment, program effectiveness and recommend improvements
• Contribute to institutional assessment and accreditation processes related to student services and outcomes
• Required participation in committee work
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Master’s degree in education, higher education administration, counseling, or a related field required
• A minimum of 7‑10 years of experience in higher education
• Strong organizational and record‑keeping skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Availability for evening and weekend activities
• Experience in designing, managing, or implementing a team

The allotted salary range for this position is $115,000 - $120,000 annually.
