Annual Security Report Notice

The part-time Water Safety Instructor will be responsible for planning and instructing pre-assigned classes for Pace University swim lesson participants according to American Red Cross Guidelines and/or Pace University aquatic lesson plans.

Position Duties

* Instruct preassigned class according to American Red Cross Guidelines and/or Pace University aquatic lesson plans.

* Be attentive, motivating, and create a positive and safe learning environment for all your students.

* Complete all Water Safety Instructor paperwork by a predetermined date so cards can be distributed on the final day of the session.

* Be to work fifteen minutes before class start to set pool lane lines, put in tot docks, assemble equipment, and greet students.

* Return pool to the regular configuration at the end of shift; all equipment should be put away.

* Enforce all pool rules and know the emergency action plan.

* See that all children are safe and leave with their guardians.

* Attend all instructor meetings and training sessions.

* Assist with lifeguard in-service training.

* Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Position Qualifications

* Proficient swimmer experience with children.

Varied as per class schedule.
