At CMCS (Cardinal McCloskey Community Services), our mission is to protect, empower, and promote independence for at-risk children and families and those with developmental disabilities through quality community-based services.
As a Home Visitor at Cardinal McCloskey Community Services, you will play a vital role in supporting families through weekly home visits that promote secure parent-child relationships and high-quality early learning experiences. This position is ideal for someone who is nurturing, culturally responsive, and passionate about empowering families as their child's first and most important educator.
Responsibilities:- Provide weekly home visits to families focused on early childhood development
- Promote learning in language, literacy, math, science, social-emotional skills, and creative arts
- Build respectful, trusting relationships with families
- Collaborate with parents to plan home visits and learning experiences
- Implement curriculum aligned with the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework
- Support children with disabilities and dual language learners
- Empower parents as primary educators of their children
- Minimum of a CDA with Home Base extension
- AA or BA in Early Childhood
, Human Services
, or Psychology (with EC credits) preferred - Experience in Early Childhood Education
, prenatal care
, home visiting
, or community health - Bilingual is a plus
- Must be able to work on-site in the Bronx (no remote option)
