DescriptionCoverage teacher who implements IEP goals for students in a classroom using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and manages the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Complete required QSAC orientation.
- Ensure health, safety & welfare of individuals.
- Conduct formal and informal assessments of educational programs and behavior interventions.
- Supervise Teacher’s Assistants/Aides and participate in the implementation of educational programs and behavior interventions.
- Implement and adhere to IEP/Student Program.
- Supervise and implement completion of program/student documentation.
- Supervise and delegate responsibilities to Teacher’s Assistants/Aides.
- Complete and maintain training requirements.
- Complete required program documentation/certifications (e.g. Employee Medicals, PPD, CPR, etc. as required).
- Interact/communicate with parents, college interns, professionals, and other interested visitors.
- Punctuality and regular attendance is expected.
- Maintain participant/family confidentiality.
- Commitment to company values and adherence to policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or senior management.
Hourly Rate - $23.00-$29.00 - Commensurate with level of certification, education, experience and ABA credentials (if applicable)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following areas:
Child Psychology, Child Development, Elementary Education, Nursery-Grade 6 Elementary Education, Special Education (Students w/ Disabilities B-2 or 1-6), or General Education – must have at least 12 credits specific to early childhood within any of these areas - Experience with Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis preferred.
- Ability to run.
- Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20 lb items.
- Clearance through state mandated Background/Fingerprint Check(s).
- Ability to communicate effectively with others and individuals served.
