In‑person, Inwood or The Bronx.
Hours: 3 PM – 5 PM Monday–Friday (flexible within this range).
Position Summary: The After School Tutor will provide academic support to K‑6th grade students in one‑on‑one or small group settings after school hours, reinforcing classroom learning, helping with homework, and offering instruction where needed.
Job Responsibilities- Provide homework and tutoring to K‑6th graders in subjects such as math, reading, science, and writing.
- Assist students with homework, projects, and test preparation.
- Maintain a safe and productive after‑school learning environment.
- Ensure that students are actively engaged and participate in learning activities.
- Assist in organizing and leading enrichment activities or educational games when appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively tutor, mentor, or teach K‑8th grade students.
- Prior experience tutoring, mentoring or teaching strongly preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent plus some college coursework required; degree in education, psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to supporting student success.
- Able to start immediately.
