The Education Instructor will supervise students who are required to participate in the Extended Day Program (EDP) study hall for student athletes and student performers. Additionally, the Education Instructor will liaise with school staff regarding academic and behavior benchmarks and goals, as well as academic needs for individual students as needed.
Responsibilities- Supervise weekly study hall for student‑athletes and student‑performers, from 4:15‑5:45 pm.
- Report on attendance, behavior, and work produced by all students who attend study hall.
- Assist students who are in need of academic support during the study hall, and work with school staff to help students achieve and retain activity eligibility, as agreed upon by the school and EDP administrators.
- Any and all additional assignments that may be assigned by supervisor.
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field;
Master’s degree in education a plus. - Minimum three years’ professional teaching experience.
- Well organized, able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and organizing experiential learning activities.
- Substantial volunteer work will be considered.
- Ability to be creative and flexible and respond to the changing needs of the extended day program.
