Job Summary

Sunshine Learning Center is a leading full day early‑childhood education program educating children from 6 weeks to 5‑year‑old. We provide high quality care and education, shaping our early learners while building strong ties with parents and communities. The Sunshine Learning Center has locations in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the Bronx.

We are hiring an ambitious Educational Director with strong leadership skills, to use their experience and training to develop children’s lives.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 per year. Base pay range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year. Sign‑on bonus available.

• Supervise all daily operations.
• Ensure the ongoing delivery of a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Conduct formal and informal teacher observations.
• Provide staff training.
• Oversee student assessments.
• Review teacher lesson plans.
• Ensure the center achieves educational goals.
• Maintain proactive communication with families.
• Oversee marketing efforts to maintain full program enrollment.
• Exhibit excellent leadership and communication skills.

• New York State Teaching Certification:
  Birth - 2nd or Grades 1-6.
• Master’s Degree preferred; minimum BA/BS in Early Childhood Education required.
• Minimum 2 years classroom experience with children under 6 years‑old.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Strong computer, verbal, and written communication skills.
