Part Time Childcare Educator – Port Washington School District

Educator Pay Rate: $17.00‑$20.00 (based on education and experience)
Schedule:
Monday‑Friday, After School: 2:00 PM – 6:30 PM (start and end times may vary by location).
- Daily Program Meetings:
Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and maintain team accountability. - Organize and Facilitate Daily
Activities:
Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives; lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages. - Leading by Example:
Maintain a safe and nurturing environment and model positive guidance and effective classroom management. - Prioritize Safety & Joy:
Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, follow all safety protocols, and document attendance, incidents, and observations. - Communication:
Effectively communicate with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
- Outstanding customer service and relationship‑building skills
- Works well in a team environment
- At least 2 years of experience working with children under 13 years of age
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
- Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living
- Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed
- Meet state‑specific requirements
- First Aid and CPR (in‑person)
- Cleared tuberculosis test
- Proof of MMR
- 18+ years of age
- Proof of high school diploma/GED required
- Substantial experience working with children under 13 years of age (3‑5 years)
