Themani House Adult Literacy Program needs volunteers to tutor adults in reading, writing and learning to speak English. Some training available.
Many of our students have changed lives because of improved speaking skills. Some have become GED graduates and have gone on to college. Our student population consists of adults who want to improve their lives through education; some taking the first step in learning how to read, others working toward obtaining their GED, most somewhere in between. We need tutors who are excited about helping our adult learners reach their literacy and speaking goals.
Requirements- Commitment to a minimum of 3 months, 2 hours once a week or 1 hour twice a week.
- English fluency and strong grammar skills.
- Volunteer age minimum 21 years.
Volunteers needed through 12/31/2025.
