School Counselor

International Leadership Charter Middle School is seeking a Bilingual School Counselor who will provide services and assistance to improve the social and psychological functioning of students and their families, maximizing well‑being and academic functioning. The counselor will assist parents and students at ILCHS to achieve social and academic goals.

• Interview and counsel at‑risk youths, develop and maintain service plans, including long‑term and short‑term goals.
• Schedule and facilitate individual and group sessions; facilitate weekly leadership/conflict resolution workshops, incorporating curricula into sessions.
• Maintain records and prepare reports; maintain daily attendance, registration, and case referral logs.
• Counsel students whose behavior, school progress, or mental or physical impairment indicate a need for assistance, diagnosing problems and arranging for services.
• Consult with parents, teachers, and other school personnel to determine causes of problems such as truancy and misconduct, and implement solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Master's degree in Counseling and/or Social Work.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience.
• Previous case management, assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional clinical experience with students and families, and commitment to working with parents and students as partners in education.
• Belief that all students can learn and become socially responsible.
• Respect for all students and families.
• Ability to multi‑task effectively and prioritize strategically.

The compensation will be commensurate with level of experience and a record of demonstrated success. The salary range is $70,000.00 – $85,000.00, and the package includes competitive base salary, health, dental, vision, and 401(k).
