Pay Range: $18.55/hr - $36.01/hr (based on skills and experience)

• Supervise children at all times according to DOH and DOE regulations to ensure safety and program effectiveness.
• Plan and implement classroom activities that meet the educational, social, developmental, and health needs of children.
• Develop educational goals suitable for each child's age and developmental level.
• Maintain classroom furniture, equipment, and materials in good condition.
• Assist in promoting the professional growth of classroom staff.
• Keep accurate records of children's progress in accordance with DOE, DOH, and Salvation Army policies.
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about children's progress.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.
• Contribute to recruitment efforts to increase enrollment.
• Perform administrative duties in the absence of the Educational Director if needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, NYC DOE online platforms, and Teaching Strategies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Meet NYS DOH, DOE, and Salvation Army requirements for the daycare center.
• Hold a NYS Early Childhood Certification (Birth-2) or be on a study plan towards certification.
