Berkley School District is looking for a Permanent Building Substitute Teacher to support in‑person learning for elementary school grade‑level students.
Permanent Building Substitute Teachers will report daily to their assigned school and take on classroom duties in case of a daily or extended teacher absence.
They are responsible for teaching prepared lessons or preparing their own instructional materials. The main duty is to ensure that students receive the required instruction according to the school’s curriculum.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining student records regarding grades and attendance, assigning and grading homework and class assignments, and consulting with administrators during the primary teacher’s absence.
This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to interpret prepared lessons and successfully instruct students using these materials.
