Lead Teacher (2s classroom) – The Learning Experience Upper West Side

Location:

New York, NY (Upper West Side) Pay: $23–$26 per hour (based on education & experience)

Schedule:

Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Upper West Side is seeking a warm, skilled, and enthusiastic Lead Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Our center provides a joyful, structured, and hands-on learning environment where children explore, grow, and thrive.

If you are pursuing or have completed a BA or AA in Early Childhood Education, or are actively working toward your credential, this is an excellent opportunity to continue your professional growth in a supportive, high-quality preschool setting.

• Lead and manage a preschool classroom that supports social, emotional, academic, and physical development.
• Implement The Learning Experience L.E.A.P. Curriculum using play-based and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Build strong relationships with families through daily communication, progress updates, and engagement.
• Collaborate with assistant teachers to maintain consistency, structure, and a positive classroom culture.
• Ensure compliance with NYC childcare regulations and center safety standards.
• Model professionalism, teamwork, and best practices in early childhood education.

• BA or AA in Early Childhood Education, or currently enrolled and working toward completion (required).
• Minimum 6 months of professional childcare or preschool teaching experience.
• Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Must meet all NYC and state childcare licensing requirements.

$23–$26 per hour, based on qualifications
