Assistant Professor - Information Systems Faculty Vacancy Announcement
The Lucille and Jay Chazanoff School of Business of the College of Staten Island of the City University of New York invites applicants for a tenure‑track position as an Assistant Professor of Information Systems, beginning in the fall semester of 2026. We seek candidates with outstanding teaching skills and evidence of potential or distinguished records of scholarship, as well as productive research agendas and commitments to serving the institution and its community.
Primary responsibilities include graduate and undergraduate teaching and mentoring in Information Systems subjects. Further responsibilities include committee and department assignments such as administration, supervision, and other functions. Specializations of particular interest include Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity & Risk Management, and Data Science & Analytics. Candidates with expertise in Systems Analysis, Software Development, and Enterprise Systems will also be considered.
PhD degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution. ABD applicants will be considered; however, their degree must be conferred prior to the first day of classes of fall 2026 in order to hold the position.
Preferred Qualifications- An earned PhD or equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, or other appropriate area, and a demonstrated commitment to research, publication, and teaching.
$90,838 - $98,995

* Salaries will be adjusted by 3.5% effective 9/1/26, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement. This will bring the salary range for this position to $94,017-$102,460.
