Position:
Full‑time (35 hours per week)

Pay: $55,000 – $65,000 per year;

Education and Employment Services is a $15.5 million division serving over 9 000 people each year through a continuum of services from Early Childhood Education to Adult Workforce programs that help individuals gain the skills needed for lifetime self‑sufficiency. The division includes Early Childhood Education, After School & Camp Services, Athletics, Community Schools, Expanded Horizons College Success Program, and our Youth Opportunity Hub.
The programs operate across three community centre sites and multiple school‑based settings.
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required;
Master’s preferred - Minimum 2 years’ experience in after‑school and/or camp settings
- Experience designing and delivering age‑appropriate, hands‑on projects, enrichment, and recreation for youth K–5
- Experience working with diverse youth and implementing culturally relevant programming
- Advanced experience facilitating family engagement to support student success
- Ability to work with students of varied academic backgrounds and skill levels
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and follow‑through skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible, positive team‑oriented attitude
- Must be able to work school holidays
- Bilingual preferred (Spanish, Cantonese or Mandarin)
- Lead development and maintenance of a comprehensive educational program meeting all participants’ needs on both sides of the learning campus
- Embed principles of early college awareness, post‑secondary exploration, and youth choice/agency in program philosophy
- Plan and execute program‑wide hands‑on inquiry‑based academic projects, enrichment and recreation experiences
- Integrate age‑appropriate Social‑Emotional‑Learning opportunities into program activities
- Structure group and individual instruction for all students with a focus on enrichment for neurodivergent learners
- Support community‑based coordinators, instructional and administrative staff to implement grant requirements, supervising weekly curriculum meetings
- Implement feedback mechanisms from staff, parents, students and community members on curriculum and instruction
- Assist with orders and purchases of materials and supplies for activity specialists
- Maintain records of participants’ pre‑ and post‑individual assessments for Hello Insight and STAR
- Collaborate with program coordinators to review and assess students via surveys and observations
- Ensure students and activity specialists are prepared for sharing’s, culminating events, and exhibits
- Develop lessons and activities supporting academic development of participants lacking homework opportunities
- Complete monthly and quarterly progress reports for the agency
- Attend regular meetings with agency staff, Department of Education, Department of Health, and training sessions as required
- Other duties assigned by supervisor
