Preschool Teacher

Overview

Gymboree Play & Music – Upper East Side – New York, NY 10028

Part‑time position – approximately $35,000 a year.

• Lead the Preschool Steps program for children 2.0 to 5.0 years of age.
• Develop and implement the Gymboree curriculum and lesson plans.
• Collaborate with the administrative team to maintain state and city requirements (student files, attendance records, etc.).
• Mentor and inspire the teaching team through creative and engaging classroom practices.
• Conduct parent meetings and maintain clear communication with families.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Teaching Certificate from the State of New York (or an accepted state).
• Experience working with young children ages 2 through 4 years of age.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Energetic, enthusiastic and understands the importance of play with education.
• Good conversational skills for parent meetings.
• Must be on time or early.

Base salary $35,000 plus benefits: paid vacation, paid holidays, paid training, health insurance optional, free attendance for employee’s children, immediate opening.
