Mary Help of Christians Catholic School in Parkland, Florida has an opening for a qualified MSEnglish and Language Arts Teacher
, for the upcoming 2025 - 2026 school year. This candidate can help students learn, apply higher thinking skills, and is qualified to teach all levels of Middle School. This teacher will be required to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for middle school and performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Salary will vary based on certification and years of service.
- BS/BA Degree in Education or English.
- Florida department of Education Grades 6-8 teaching certificate for English and/or reading, temporary or professional required.
- Experience in teaching Middle School and/or High School in ELA.
- Strong presentation skills with skill in use of instructional technologies.
- Proficiency with interactive boards, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel;
PowerPoint a plus. - Proficiency with Apple technologies and applications, and with Canvas and Plus Portal.
- Excellent oral and written English-language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar are required.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
