The Nursing Department at Finger Lakes Community College is seeking Clinical Adjunct Faculty who are innovative and adaptable educators committed to student engagement, excellence in teaching, and interdisciplinary collaboration. We are looking for individuals to teach clinical within our fundamentals, medical-surgical and mental health courses.

This position is part of an ongoing recruitment process. Qualified candidates will be contacted by the hiring manager as needed.

• Demonstrates knowledge of the current subject area and clinical expertise in the assigned area.
• Implements course outcomes based on the master syllabus.
• Prepares and creates pre/post conference plans, instructional materials, and activities for students during the clinical day.
• Ensures safe clinical practice throughout each clinical day and evaluates student performance at mid and final semester.
• Maintains accurate student records.
• Submits pertinent data to the department and/or the College.
• Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Masters degree in Nursing preferred. Minimum BSN.

• Recent acute care experience required. Teaching experience preferred.

• Adjunct rate of pay for the  Academic Year is $1,087 per contact hour.
• NYS Retirement.
