Overview
Adjunct Faculty - Computer Science and Management Engineering at Long Island University (LIU) Post Campus. The Department of Computer Science invites applications for part-time/adjunct faculty in Computer Science and Management Engineering. The department seeks to build a pool of highly qualified candidates to prepare and teach assigned courses at undergraduate Computer Science or graduate Management Engineering levels. Candidates should adapt to a fast-paced learning environment and be proactive, creative, self-motivated and have a strong desire to introduce project-based and experiential learning opportunities in the assigned courses.
Significant professional experience and/or equivalent research experience are highly desirable.
- Prepare and teach assigned undergraduate Computer Science or graduate Management Engineering courses.
- Adapt to a fast-paced learning environment; promote project-based and experiential learning.
- Contribute to assessment of learning in the department.
- M.S. degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science/Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Management Engineering or closely related fields
- Ability to teach various undergraduate or graduate level courses
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in programming languages and computational tools appropriate for the assigned courses
- Commitment to project-based learning and excellence in teaching
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of professional experience and/or equivalent research experience
